Does 3rd Rock Use Nano Zinc?

Does 3rd Rock Use Nano Zinc?

Nano zinc oxide (ZnO) is controversial – we don’t use nano sized ZnO because we are concerned with the potential for absorption into the blood stream through the skin pores.  There is some body of evidence that this can occur with the use of nano zinc oxide and if so it may present issues for those exposed to other heavy metals and cause complexing to occur.  Even though we fully believe that  the science regarding the effects of nano-sized ZnO is not fully vetted and there is still much that needs to be studied, we chose to use a larger diameter sized ZnO particle system which then grows even larger during chelation with amino acids.  We do sacrifice some aesthetics due to whitening/ghosting initially – by using the larger sized ZnO particles – but have erred on the side of safety.

Our product is glycerin based and if you rub it in sufficiently (between your hands first them on your body) you will find  that we are actually less whitening and more aesthetically pleasing than any of the competitors that are using nano zinc oxide as their only active ingredient.
